Jürgen Ebeling

Jürgen Ebeling (born December 12, 1955 in Schönebeck (Elbe) ) is a former German football player . Between 1976 and 1978 he played for 1. FC Magdeburg in the GDR league .

Soccer career

Until 1979 Ebeling belonged to the squad of the junior league team of 1. FC Magdeburg . In the 1975/76 season he was used four times in the GDR league. Ebeling played his first game in the upper house of GDR football on February 21, 1976 in the encounter between Rot-Weiß Erfurt and 1. FCM (1: 1), when he was substituted on for midfield director Jürgen Pommerenke in the 67th minute . The league game 1. FCM - Chemie Leipzig (5: 1) was Ebeling's only league game over 90 minutes. After two years without first division football, he was in a league game one last time: FC Carl Zeiss Jena - 1. FCM (1: 1) on April 22, 1978.

In November 1979 Ebeling had to start his military service. During this time he was able to continue playing football with the third-class army sports community Vorwärts Havelberg . After the end of the army, he joined the second division Stahl Blankenburg . However, he only stayed there in the 1980/81 season, in the summer of 1981 he moved to league rivals Lok Stendal . Here he played four years in the second-rate GDR league until the end of his football career in 1989 , and between 1983 and 1987 in the Magdeburg district league .
