Jürgen Raap

Jürgen Raap ( pseudonym : Karl-Josef Bär , born August 3, 1952 in Cologne ) is a German writer .

life and work

Jürgen Raap, born and raised in Cologne, studied art science and German at the University of Cologne from 1971 to 1976 after graduating from high school . He completed this study with the first state examination from. From 1977 to 1982 he studied painting and multimedia at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences . Since the early 1980s he has worked as a freelance writer, journalist and art critic and appears as a performance artist .

Since 1989 Raap has published a series of crime novels about the Cologne detective Karl-Josef Bär; He is also the author and editor of travel guides and non-fiction books on gastronomic topics.
