Jürgen Schrötteringk (senior age, 1615)

Jürgen Schrötteringk (born May 3, 1615 in Hamburg ; † March 24, 1667 there ) was a German businessman and Hamburg senior citizen .

Origin and family

Schrötteringk was a son of the Hamburg mayor Johann Schrötteringk (1588–1676) from his first marriage to Anna Hartiges.

On June 28, 1641 he married Margaretha Münden, a daughter from the second marriage of the senior citizen and councilor Johann Münden (1564-1638).

Live and act

Schrötteringk took on various offices in Hamburg as a merchant and citizen. On March 21, 1643 he was elected to the beer accise , in the same year to the Admiralty Customs and on August 14, 1644 to the bread order. In 1645 he was entrusted with the administration of the Hamburg ramparts and in the same year elected war commissioner and the beacon duty , which was levied to secure navigation on the Elbe. In 1647 Schrötteringk became a Jurat and a building yard citizen , on January 31, 1650, a banco citizen, and on March 3, 1651, a civil judge at the lower court .

On July 4, 1653, Schrötteringk was elected as the successor to Hans Landerhusen (1594-1653), senior elder in the parish of Sankt Jacobi . As such, Schrötteringk became head of the Sankt Gertrud Chapel in 1654 , corpse sworn in 1657 and President of the College of the Elderly in 1659 . He died in 1667. Jobst Bandt (1609–1679) succeeded him as senior senior.
