JD Slater

JD Slater (* 1955 in Long Island ) is an American film director , composer and porn actor .

Life

Slater was born on Long Island , New York City . After completing school in New York, he studied psychology at UCLA in California and then moved to Fordham University in New York , where he obtained a master's degree in clinical psychology . In 1981, Slater began working in the porn industry . The film director Joe Gage discovered him and hired him as a porn actor in the gay porn film Handsome . After that, Slater worked as an actor for the film director Wakefield Poole and other film directors of the first generation of gay film erotic. In the 1980s, Slater learned how films are made and produced.

In 1989, Slater was hit by several blows of fate. On the one hand, he was diagnosed with cancer , HIV and tuberculosis , and on the other, he was faced with aggressive legal claims in connection with his work in the porn industry.

Together with Chris Ward , Slater founded the film studio Raging Stallion Studios in 1999 and worked as a producer and film director in the following years. Furthermore, Slater composed film music as a composer. In 2003, Slater was inducted into the Hall of Fame , GayVN Awards .
