Jaël Bestué (born September 24, 2000 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish sprinter .
Athletic career
Jaël Bestué gained her first international experience in 2016 when she finished fourth in the 200-meter run in 24.13 s at the European Youth Championships, which were held for the first time in Tbilisi . The following year she won the silver medal at the U18 World Championships in Nairobi in 23.61 s and then finished seventh in the U20 European Championships in Grosseto in 45.33 s with the Spanish 4 x 100 meter relay. In 2018 she reached the semi-finals of the U20 World Championships in Tampere and was eliminated there with 23.68 s. In addition, she took part for the first time in the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated with 23.92 s in the run-up. Also at the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2019 in Glasgow , she failed in the 60-meter run with 7.41 s in the first round. Then she won the bronze medal in the 100-meter run at the U20 European Championships in Borås in 11.59 s and was disqualified with the relay in the final.
In 2018 and 2019 Bestué was the Spanish champion in the 200-meter run and in 2015, 2016 and 2019 in the 4-by-100-meter relay. In the hall, she became champion over 60 meters in 2019.
