The Jabach is an approximately 7.8 km long orographic left tributary of the Agger in Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

The Jabach rises south of Krahwinkel and west of Pohlhausen. From there the Jabach flows almost parallel to federal highway 507 in the direction of Lohmar / Donrath. To the north, the B 507 is the bank boundary almost continuously, to the south an extensive forest area connects to the course of the Jabach. The Jabach flows meandering towards Lohmar / Donrath. In Lohmar-Ort, the Jabach then makes a larger curve behind the Lohmar school center and flows along the fire station in Lohmar. The Jabach then runs under a canal under the main street of Lohmar. In Lohmar, the canalised and the open brook constantly changes, based on the course of the road. South of Sottenbach the Jabach then flows again as open water. After crossing under the federal motorway 3 , the Jabach finally flows into the Agger southwest of Pützrath .
