Jackson Mendy (born May 25, 1987 in Mont-Saint-Aignan ) is a Senegalese - French football player .
Via US Quevilly , Mendy , who was mostly used as a left-back , came to the French first division club Stade Rennes in the summer of 2006 , for which he competed with the reserve team in the Championnat de France Amateur and played 23 games for them. Already in the following season Mendy left Rennes and joined Paris FC , for which he was no longer used from 2008 after 10 games in the second half of 2007.
In the summer of 2008, Mendy completed a trial training session with the German second division club Hansa Rostock and was signed by them, but despite being a member of the professional team in the meantime, he was only used for Rostock's reserve during the preparation for the season. He played 27 games in the fourth-class regional league in the 2008/09 season before moving to the newly promoted Bundesliga SC Freiburg in the summer of 2009 . Mendy was initially assigned to the reserve team in Freiburg, so that he initially completed 14 missions in the 2009/10 season of the Regionalliga. Subsequently, however, he was appointed to the professional team of Freiburg, completed his first appearance for them on November 28, 2009 and was also part of the starting line-up of the Bundesliga promoted team on the following four match days, who achieved relegation in Germany's top division in the 2009/10 season . Although he was still called up in Freiburg's reserve team, Mendy played thereby also in the focus of the Senegalese national team , for which he played his first appearance on May 27, 2010 in the friendly against Denmark .
After Mendy no longer played a role in the plans of Freiburg coach Robin Dutt for the 2010/11 season and was transferred back to the 2nd team, he moved to the French second division Grenoble Foot 38 in mid-August .
For the 2011/12 season he moved to AC Ajaccio . In winter he left Ajaccio again and switched to APO Levadiakos .
