Jacob Andriesz Boelens (also called Boelesen and Boelissen ) (* in the 16th century in Amsterdam ; † 1621 ibid) was a Dutch statesman and diplomat and Amsterdam regent of the Golden Age .

His father was Andriesz Albertsz Boelens, his grandfather was Amsterdam's ruling mayor, Albert Andriesz Boelens . The Boelens family was deeply involved in the history of their hometown. In 1584 he married Weyntje Dircksz de Graeff, daughter of the Amsterdam regent Dirck Jansz Graeff .

Boelens was first entrusted with the office of mayor in 1595 . His further terms of office fell in the years 1598, 1599, 1606, 1607, 1609, 1610, 1612, 1614, 1615, 1618, 1619 and 1621. In 1599 he was Holland's deputy in Emden , to count in the dispute between the city and Ostfriesland Edzard II to convey. In the following years he was often traveling on diplomatic missions and as a deputy in the field. In 1607 he traveled as envoy of the Dutch States General to King Christian IV in Denmark. During these years Boelens was also the Dutch envoy at the court of the East Frisian ruler Edzard II. In 1618 and 1619 he was a member of the Dutch States General. Together with Hugo Muys van Holy, Boelens prepared a report on the Synod of Dordrecht to the States General.
