Jacob Tamme Francis (* 15. March 1985 in Danville , Kentucky , USA ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of tight ends . He played with the Atlanta Falcons , Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos in the National Football League (NFL).

High school

Tamme played football, baseball, and basketball in high school . Here he played football on the position of wide receiver and cornerback . He was also used as a kick returner .

college

In his first season, Tamme played all eleven games for the University of Kentucky as a tight end . In college, he was the best tight end ever to play for the University of Kentucky (133 passes captured for 1,417 yards).

NFL

Indianapolis Colts

Tamme was selected by the Indianapolis Colts as the 127th player in the 2008 NFL Draft in the fourth round . In his first season he played twelve games. In the second year he played all 16 games of the season for the Colts and reached with them the Super Bowl XLIV , which was lost to the New Orleans Saints (31-17).

Denver Broncos

In 2012 he moved to the Denver Broncos , with whom he reached Super Bowl XLVIII in 2013 . Against the Seattle Seahawks they lost it 43-8.

Atlanta Falcons

In 2015 he moved to the Atlanta Falcons. On November 21, 2016, he was put on the Injury List for a shoulder injury . The Falcons reached the Super Bowl LI without Tamme , which, however, was lost to the New England Patriots at 28:34 . On November 23, 2017, he announced his retirement from professional football.

Private

Jacob Tamme is married and has two children.
