Jacob Adam Tomuri (born December 4, 1979 in Wellington ) is a New Zealand film actor and stuntman .

Life

Jacob Tomuri grew up in Porirua and after finishing school he was encouraged by his mother to give it a try as an actor. In 1999 he was cast as one of the main characters in the television series The Tribe , in which he can be seen in over 50 episodes until 2001.

Immediately next to his experience as an actor, Tomuri completed his training as a stuntman, so that between 2001 and 2003 he could be seen in numerous action sequences in all three parts of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. In 2007 he took on a small role in the horror film 30 Days of Night . In 2008 he became a stuntman in the fantasy series Legend of the Seeker, also produced in New Zealand , in which he was also seen as a guest actor in 2009. In the same year he also got a small role in James Cameron's film Avatar - Departure for Pandora .

Tomuri enjoyed training in Shaolin Kung Fu and is already training athletes and stuntmen. He lives in Auckland today .

In addition to his native English , he also speaks Japanese , Spanish and Maori .
