Career

Schwenninger ERC and ECDC Memmingen

Jacqueline Janzen began ice hockey at the age of eight in the junior division of the Schwenninger ERC . Until 2011, she played there mainly with male peers, including in the school league, but also for the Lady Wings , the women's team of the SERC, in the Baden-Württemberg women's state league.

From 2011 she ran, initially with a double license, in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga for the ECDC Memmingen . In the 2013/14 season she was the sixth-best scorer in the entire Bundesliga with 37 points.

Since 2014 she has been playing again for the Schwenninger ERC in the women's regional league, the regionally organized second German division, and is one of the top performers there.

International

At the age of 13, Janzen was nominated for a junior national team for the first time and took part in the U18 World Junior Championships in 2009 , 2010 and 2011 with a selection of U18 women .

During the 2007/08 season she made her debut as part of the Air Canada Cup for the German women's national team and was a permanent member of the national team from 2010.

Her first women's world championship was the 2011 division I world championship , which was held in Ravensburg . There the national team was promoted to the top division. Due to several injuries, she could not take part in the world championships in the following two years, but completed all preparatory tournaments and training camps in the pre-Olympic season and interrupted her schooling. As a result, Janzen took part in the Winter Olympics in Sochi , Russia , in February 2014 , where it was used in all five games and prepared a goal. After finishing seventh in the Olympic tournament, Janzen ended her national team career in order to concentrate on her high school diploma and the subsequent study of molecular and technical medicine.
