Jake Borelli

Jake Borelli (born May 14, 1991 in Columbus , Ohio ) is an American actor who starred in the role of Dr. Levi Schmitt in Grey's Anatomy .

Career

At the age of ten, Borelli stood for the first time in several plays, like The King of Narnia or Holes. The Secrets of Green Lake on stage as a performer of the Columbus Children's Theater. He then worked in various advertising productions and for the radio.

He made his film acting debut in 2007 in the short film Peanut Butter . Other roles in other short films followed. From 2009 he played various guest roles in Psych , Suburgatory , iCarly , Navy CIS: LA and other television series. In the series Die Thundermans produced for Nickelodeon , he appeared in the recurring role as German exchange student Wolfgang from 2015 to 2018 in 13 episodes. Since 2017 he has played the role of Dr. Levi Schmitt in the hit series Grey's Anatomy , only as a supporting role, in May 2019 it was announced that he was promoted to the main cast from the 16th season. He can be seen in the same role in the spin-off Station 19 since 2018 .

Private

Borelli was born on May 14, 1991 and grew up with his two older brothers in Columbus . In 2009 he graduated from Upper Arlington High School in Upper Arlington and then decided to study at the University of California in Los Angeles , also to get closer to his dream career as an actor. Coinciding with the US broadcast of the sixth episode of Season 15 of Grey's Anatomy , in which Dr. Levi Schmitt came out as gay, Borelli also came out as gay.
