Jacob friend
Jakob Freund (born June 8, 1946 in Altstätten ) is a Swiss folk musician and politician ( SVP ), entitled to live in Altstätten in the canton of St. Gallen .
Life
Freund first began his political career in the FDP . From 1978 to 1988 he was a member of Bühler's municipal council. In the 1995 elections he was appointed to the National Council elected in the House of Representatives in 2003 , he lost his seat.
From 2001 to 2012 he was the central president of the Association of Swiss Folk Music (VSV). He plays dulcimer , alphorn , piano and double bass . His main formation is the string music Alder from Urnäsch . By profession he was a master farmer and real estate appraiser. Today he lives in Bühler in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden.
