Jakob Kredel

Jakob Georg Kredel (born June 18, 1808 in Unter-Mossau , † September 21, 1864 in Thompsontown (Pennsylvania) ) was a Hessian pastor, politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Jakob Kredel was the son of the mayor and church elder Johann Adam Kredel and his wife Anna Margaretha. Kredel, who was Protestant, was a private teacher in Erbach from 1833 to 1836 and from 1836 to 1838 a teacher at the Erbach city school. From 1840 to 1843 he worked as a vicar before becoming a pastor in Wilsbach from 1842 to 1850 . In 1850 he was deposed as pastor.

In 1850 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Oberhessen 4 / Gladenbach .

He later emigrated to the USA . Kredel died in a railroad accident on September 21, 1864.
