Jost Becker

Johann Jost Becker (born December 8, 1766 in Rüchenbach ; † March 30, 1833 ibid) was a Hessian liberal politician and former member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Jost Becker was the son of the court lay judge and chief magistrate Johannes Becker and his wife Margarethe nee Becker. On May 9, 1788, he married Katharina born Hof in Rüchenbach. Jost Becker was mayor in Römershausen and Rüchenbach. In the 3rd and 4th electoral periods (1826-1830) Jost Becker was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the state estates he represented the constituency of Oberhessen 2 / Gladenbach .
