Wilhelm Klingelhoeffer

Wilhelm Klingelhöffer (born October 8, 1803 in Oberhörlen , † May 1, 1882 in Biedenkopf ) was a Hessian judge and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Wilhelm Klingelhöffer was the son of pastor August Klingelhöffer (1774-1854) and his wife Karoline, née Hüffell (1779-1838). Klingelhöffer, who was Protestant, married Johannetta Friederike Christiane Karoline Wilhelmine née Schott (1812–1881) in Gießen on August 6, 1935 . His cousin was Otto Klingelhöffer .

Klingelhöffer studied law at the University of Giessen . During his studies in 1820 he became a member of the old Gießen fraternity Germania . After completing his studies, he became a clerk at the court in Gießen in 1827 . In 1835 he became an assessor with a vote at the Alsfeld regional court and in 1850 a regional judge at the Biedenkopf regional court . There he became a district judge and director of the district criminal court in 1867. In 1868 he was appointed chief magistrate and retired in 1873.

From 1856 to 1862 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Oberhessen 2 / Gladenbach .
