Jamba is a village and a district in Angola .
history
Jamba originated in the 1930s when the Cassinga mines began to mine gold and other ores. With the beginning of the Angolan Civil War (1975-2002) and in particular the attacks by the South African armed forces in the 1980s, all activities at the mines were stopped. As part of the reconstruction efforts and the continued economic growth of Angola after the end of the civil war, the mines are now to be activated again.
