James Masilamony Arul Das
James Masilamony Arul Das (born January 14, 1930 in Udagamandalam , † August 30, 2004 ) was Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore .
Life
James Masilamony Arul Das was ordained a priest on December 20, 1955 .
Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Ootacamund on December 21, 1973 . The Archbishop of Changanacherry , Antony Padiyara , ordained him bishop on February 20 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Packiam Arokiaswamy , Archbishop of Bangalore , and Savarinathen Iruthayaraj , Bishop of Palayamkottai .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Madras - Mylapore on May 11, 1994 .
