Martin and James are a British singer-songwriter - music duo consisting of Martin Kelly and James O'Neill.
Career
In 1999 Kelly and O'Neill got together to make music together. After a temporary separation in which both musicians devoted themselves to their own projects, the two Scots decided to make music together again after the turn of the millennium.
In 2008 the duo signed a contract with Universal Music Germany and moved to Berlin . In the same year they began working on their first studio recordings in Hamburg with musicians Albert Hammond , Iain Archer and Fran Healy, which resulted in two EPs . At the same time, Martin and James accompanied acts such as Taylor Swift , The Fray , Razorlight , Stereophonics , Simply Red , OneRepublic , Amy Macdonald , Ellie Goulding , James Morrison , Milow , Lissie , Ingrid Michaelson and Scouting for Girls as opening act on their European tours.
Her first EP Bad Dream was released in 2009, followed by the EP Wrong Directions in 2010 , which was also included in the soundtrack for the film What a Man . On March 18, 2011, the first single All Over the News was released. In 2011 the first album Martin and James (2011) was released. A tour through Germany followed with Jim Kroft as support.
In 2012 Martin and James won the Newcomer Award from drums.de.
