Bishop James Trobec

James Trobec (born July 10, 1838 in Billichgrätz , Austria-Hungary , as Jakob Trobec ; † December 15, 1921 in Brockway Township , Minnesota , USA ) was Bishop of Saint Cloud .

Life

James Trobec received on 8 September 1865, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 5, 1897, Pope Leo XIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Saint Cloud. The Archbishop of Saint Paul , John Ireland , ordained him episcopal on September 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Milwaukee , Frederick Xavier Katzer , and the Bishop of Sault Sainte Marie and Marquette , John Vertin .

On April 15, 1914, James Trobec resigned as Bishop of Saint Cloud and Pope Benedict XV. appointed him on May 28, 1914 titular bishop of Lycopolis .
