Dobrova – Polhov Gradec (German: Dobrawa-Billichgrätz ) is a municipality in the Gorenjska region in Slovenia .

7,195 people live in the total community, which consists of 33 villages and hamlets . Dobrova (911 inhabitants) and Polhov Gradec (613 inhabitants) are the two largest towns in this municipality. Dobrova is the center. The area lies between Ljubljana and the low mountain range of Polhov Gradec .

According to tradition, the village got its name from a 1000-year-old oak that was felled in 1888.

The area around Polhov Gradec ( German : Billichgrätz ) was settled early on, which Celtic and Roman finds prove. The Polhov Gradec Castle is particularly worth seeing. Today a museum is housed there.
