Jamnyzja ( Ukrainian Ямниця ; Russian Ямница Jamniza , Polish Jamnica ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast Ivano-Frankivsk in the east of the historical Galicia with about 3300 inhabitants (2001).
On 29 April 2018, the village in the north of was Rajon Tysmenytsia to the center of the newly established rural community Jamnyzja (Ямницька сільська громада / Jamnyzka silska hromada ), this includes also the villages Pavlivka (Павлівка) Silez (Сілець) and Tjasiw (Тязів) , until then it formed the 20.76 km² district council of the same name.
The village lies in the valley of Bystrytsia River on the banks of Jamnytschanka ( Ямничанка ). The city center of the Oblast capital Ivano-Frankivsk is 8 km south and the district center Tysmenyzja 20 km southeast of Yamnytsya.
By 1444 first written mention the village which runs highway N 09 and the railway line Lviv-Chernivtsi , has at the Jamnyzja a railway station.
