Jan Christensen (* 1977 in Copenhagen ) is an artist and curator living in Berlin and Oslo .

life and work

From 1997 to 2000 Jan Christensen attended the National College of Art and Design in Oslo. He lives and works in Berlin and Oslo.

As an artist, Jan Christensen makes use of film , music , painting and sculpture , with painting and sculpture predominating. Coming from the graffiti scene in Oslo, parallels to his large-scale wall paintings , which decorate the interiors of museums and galleries, as well as ordinary exterior facades, are recognizable. However, Christensen developed his own visual language in his works. In his work, he addresses language in words and sentences on the one hand and the act of painting itself on the other.
