Jan Musekamp

Jan Musekamp (* 1976 ) is a German cultural scientist and historian. Musekamp has been teaching history at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) since 2018 .

Life

Musekamp attended the "Kant" high school in Boppard and studied at the EUV in Frankfurt (Oder) at the cultural studies faculty . He received his doctorate with the overall grade summa cum laude and was awarded the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland's sponsorship award for the best German dissertation on Poland. Since 2012, Musekamp has been a Fellow in the International and Area Studies Program at Washington University in St. Louis , Missouri .

On May 16, 2017, he held his inaugural lecture as a private lecturer at the EUV with the title: "Between Russia, Poland, Germany and Canada: The history of the Wolhynian Germans as a transnational history of migration and integration ".

Jan Musekamp has been DAAD Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of History since September 2018.

He is married to business economist Wioletta Musekamp. They have three children together.
