Jan Romund (born October 24, 1983 in Wuppertal ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .
Sports career hall
Romund played indoor volleyball at TuS Velbert in his youth . From 2001 to 2004 he was active for the Bundesliga club SV Bayer Wuppertal and was German runner-up here in 2003. He then moved to the second division RWE Volleys Bottrop , with whom he was promoted to the First Bundesliga in 2008. After two years with the regional league team TSC Münster-Gievenbeck , Romund played again in the second division at FC Schüttorf 09 from 2012 to 2015 .
After the announcement that he wanted to take it easy in beach volleyball in order to concentrate on his professional career, he joined the regional league team of SV Blau-Weiß Aasee in Münster in 2016 .
Sports career beach
Romund has been playing beach volleyball on a national level since 2002. His standard partners were David Kampa from 2003 to 2009 , Daniel Wernitz in 2010 and Denis Berken from 2011 to 2012 . From 2010 to 2016 he continuously participated in the German Championships in Timmendorf . The best result here in 2011 was a seventh place with Denis Berken.
In 2013, Tilo Backhaus from Berlin was his partner. The team was trained by Backhaus' partner Hella Jurich , who used to be active in the hall and at the beach. From 2014 to 2016 Romund played alongside Paul Becker .
Trainer
Romund is a trained sports teacher and fitness trainer. He is active as a trainer at beach volleyball camps.
