Paul Becker (born April 3, 1990 in Frankenberg ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Indoor volleyball

Becker started playing indoor volleyball in his hometown Frankenberg in 2004 . The diagonal attacker later played in the second division at SG Rodheim , at rhein-main volley and from 2011 to 2013 at TG 1862 Rüsselsheim .

In 2005 Becker began playing beach volleyball. With Holger Wesselmann , he became German U19 champion in Kiel in 2008 and German U20 runner-up with Steffen Drößler a year later. When he first took part in the German championships in Timmendorf , Becker finished 13th in 2011 together with Hannes Goertz . In 2012 and 2013 , he took seventh place alongside Aljoscha Grabowski . From 2014 to 2016 Jan Romund was his partner, with whom he was thirteenth , ninth and again thirteenth at the German championships . Becker has been playing alongside Jonas Schröder since 2017 . Becker / Schröder took seventh place in the 2017 German championship . At the Techniker Beach Tour 2018 they achieved four tournament victories, a second and two third places. Becker also started sporadically on the FIVB World Tour with Eric Stadie . At the German championship 2018 Becker / Schröder finished fifth. In 2019, Becker had to take a break for weeks after the Techniker Beach Tour stop in Münster due to back problems.

Snow volleyball

At the first German championship in snow volleyball , Becker / Schröder won the title in February 2018. This qualified them for the European Championship in March, where they were runner-up. Together with Georg and Peter Wolf in a 4-man team, they were able to defend their German championship title in March 2019.
