Georg Wolf (born July 19, 1995 in Bad Soden-Salmünster ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Indoor volleyball

Wolf began his career in his home country at TV Salmünster. Since 2012 he has played in the second Bundesliga North at the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt . At the same time, the outside attacker won the bronze medal with TV Bliesen at the German U20 championship in Saarbrücken in 2014 . In 2015, Wolf was signed by the Bundesliga promoted United Volleys Rhein-Main as a libero, but due to injury he only played in the second team of TG 1862 Rüsselsheim , with whom he was promoted to the second Bundesliga South in 2016. In 2017, Wolf and his brother Peter joined the second division TV / DJK Hammelburg . On October 26, 2018, the brothers announced the immediate separation from TV / DJK Hammelburg via WhatsApp . In 2018/19 Georg Wolf played for the second division TuS Kriftel .

beach volleyball

Wolf played his first beach volleyball tournaments with Christian Schirmer in 2010 and competed in various youth competitions. With Clemens Wickler he was German U18 runner-up in 2012, German U19 runner-up with Lukas Hebling in 2013 and German U20 runner-up with Moritz Reichert in 2014. Georg Wolf has been playing in a duo with his brother Peter Wolf since 2013 and is regularly present at the national tournament series. In 2015 and 2016, the brothers won several Category 1 tournaments. They also won the German University Championship 2016 in Bayreuth . At the Beach Cup in Dresden they took third place and defeated the favorite Holler / Poniewaz . They qualified for the German championship in Timmendorfer Strand , but had to admit defeat there in the first main round to the Olympians Böckermann / Flüggen . In 2017 and 2018 the brothers in Munich and Bayreuth were again German university champions. In 2018 they also played on the national Techniker Beach Tour and at the German championship . In 2019 the Wolf brothers together with Paul Becker and Jonas Schröder became German champions in snow volleyball . They became German university champions for the fourth time and took part in the Techniker Beach Tour and the German championship .
