Jonas Schröder (born March 15, 1991 in Mainz ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Indoor volleyball

Schröder began playing indoor volleyball in 2000. With TGM Mainz-Gonsenheim , the outside attacker was promoted to the second division in 2012 , but had to relegate to the third division south in 2014 .

In 2006 Schröder started playing beach volleyball. With Felix Quecke from Essen , he was German U20 champion in Berlin in 2010 . From 2010 to 2012 Schröder's teammate Manuel Lohmann was his standard partner, with whom he took part twice in the German championships in Timmendorf and finished thirteen and five. With Philipp Arne Bergmann he finished ninth at the 2011 U21 World Cup in Halifax and fifth at the 2013 U23 World Cup in Mysłowice . In 2013, Schröder played with Armin Dollinger as standard , with whom he finished fourth at the U23 European Championship in Assen in 2012 and became student world champion in Maceió . In 2013 Dollinger / Schröder won the silver medal at the Universiade in Kazan and finished fifth at the German championships . Since 2014 Schröder started nationally and internationally with Tim Holler , with whom he won the Smart Beach Cup in Cologne and was again student world champion in Porto . At the Doha Open in November, Holler / Schröder achieved their first victory on the FIVB World Tour . In July 2015 they won the CEV Satellite tournament in Vaduz . At the 2015 German Championships , Holler / Schröder took third place. Due to a protracted injury, Schröder was only able to start twice on the Smart Beach Tour in 2016 and was therefore not eligible to play in the German championships . Schröder has been playing alongside Paul Becker since 2017 . Becker / Schröder took seventh place in the 2017 German championship . At the Techniker Beach Tour 2018 they achieved four tournament victories, a second and two third places. They finished fifth at the 2018 German championship . At the side of Jonathan Erdmann , Schröder won the Techniker Beach Tour 2019 in Düsseldorf .

Snow volleyball

At the first German championship in snow volleyball , Becker / Schröder won the title in February 2018. This qualified them for the European Championship in March, where they were runner-up. Together with Georg and Peter Wolf in a 4-man team, they were able to defend their German championship title in March 2019.
