Eric Stadie (born June 7, 1996 in Berlin ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

Stadie began playing volleyball at SCC Berlin in his youth . In 2012 he changed his home club and played various junior championships for the Berlin VV . At the same time he played in 2012 and 2013 with the junior team VC Olympia Berlin in the Regionalliga Nordost. From 2014 to 2016 he also moved to the 1st men's team of the Berliner VV and played in the 3rd Northern League . Stadie has been playing for SV Lindow-Gransee in the 2nd Bundesliga North since 2017 and won the runner-up here in 2018/19.

Career Beach

Stadie started playing beach volleyball in 2011. With Lukas Doberenz he won the bronze medal at the national cup in Damp in 2011 . At the side of Berlin's Felix Göbert , he won the 2012 national cup. In 2013, 2014 and 2015 he was appointed German champion in the junior division (U18, U20, U20) and in the national beach volleyball team (2013). In 2013 he was also fourth at the U18 European Championships in Maladseschna (Belarus). In 2013 and 2014, Stadie played alongside his older brother René Stadie , with whom he played a Smart Beach Cup for the first time in 2014 and surprisingly managed to qualify (seventh place in the end). In 2014, Stadie also took part in the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, finishing fifth. From 2015 Stadie played with Toni Hellmuth , with whom he qualified for the German Beach Volleyball Championship for the first time in 2015 . There they surprisingly beat the Alexander Walkenhorst / Marcus Popp team in the first round and ended up in ninth place. At the side of Sebastian Fuchs , Stadie in Sankt Peter-Ording was in a Smart Beach Tour final for the first time. In 2016, too, Stadie qualified with Toni Hellmuth for the German Beach Volleyball Championship 2016 and came in ninth again. Sebastian Fuchs was his permanent partner in 2017. At the Smart Beach Cup in Duisburg , the two celebrated their first joint tournament victory on the German tour . In September Fuchs / Stadie became German runners-up . Stadie played alongside Marcus Popp on the National Techniker Beach Tour in 2018 . In July he became student world champion together with Dan John in Munich . On the World Tour in 2018 and 2019 were Robin Sowa and Paul Becker its partners. Stadie started with Dan John on the national Techniker Beach Tour 2019 . The best result here was a second place on Fehmarn . On the World Tour 2019 he and Armin Dollinger finished fourth at the 3-star tournament in Jūrmala . At the German championship , Stadie / John reached fifth place.
