Jan Schomburg

Jan Schomburg (born February 23, 1976 in Aachen ) is a German film director , screenwriter and writer .

Live and act

Jan Schomburg studied visual communication at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and audiovisual media at the Kunsthochschule für Medien Cologne from 1996 to 2001 . In 2007 Schomburg graduated from the script workshop in Munich , and in 2008 he received a scholarship from the WarsawAndrzej Wajda Master School of Directing”.

His debut film Über uns das All was premiered in February 2011 at the 61st International Film Festival in Berlin in the “Panorama Special” section. Schomburg's second feature film Vergiss mein Ich celebrated its world premiere in the competition of the 43rd International Film Festival Rotterdam .

He wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation of Stefan Zweig's last years, Vor der Morgenröte (2016), together with Maria Schrader .

In 2017 his debut novel Das Licht und die Geräusche was published by dtv .
