Jana Petersen

Jana Petersen , at times Jana Straulino (born May 17, 1978 in Hamburg ) is a German actress and journalist .

Life

After graduating from the Charlotte-Paulsen-Gymnasium in Hamburg in 1997 , she got smaller roles in TV series and films, for example in 1998 in St. Pauli Nacht by Sönke Wortmann and in 2000 in Hans-Christian Schmid's film Crazy . In 2003 she became known for the romantic comedy Seventeen - Girls Are Better Boys , in which she plays a boyish schoolgirl who pretends to be a boy and falls in love with a classmate. From 2004 she also shot commercials.

In 2005 she became a member of the development team in Berlin , and later of the style department of the German edition of Vanity Fair magazine . From 2009 she completed a voluntary training at the Protestant School of Journalism . Since 2010 she has been editor of sonntaz , the weekend edition of taz .

In 2011 she was nominated for the German Reporter Award for her interview “Garbage dumps are becoming mosques” .

She was married to the photographer Alexander Straulino. She has been using her maiden name again since her divorce. She is the mother of two sons.
