action

17-year-old Luka is a girl who doesn't put on make-up and finds boxing much more exciting than ballet. She is expelled from school after breaking the nose of a classmate in class for exposing her in front of the assembled class. When she switched to boarding school in Herzogenfeld, she was thought to be the student Frankie Königsberg because of her short hair, her jacket and Toby's rescue. Luka and Frankie had met on the drive to boarding school. Frankie, son of the fashion prince Richard Koenigsberg, has no desire to visit another one after being expelled from various schools. On the bus, he asked Luka to get a “cooler jacket”, which immediately appropriated Frankie's jacket, on which his initials “FK” can be read. As soon as she arrives at school, she is confused with the legendary Frankie Königsberg and has the opportunity to take on his role and enjoy the advantages of being a boy over her life as a girl.

She comes into the room of the clique around Jo, Toby and Chico and is immediately accepted into them. Luka believes that she has reached the goal of her dreams and takes on some hardships in return. But the head boy Rinker, nephew of the headmistress, senses that there is too much competition in “Frankie”, which is well received by the girls. When Jo, who is in love with the headmistress, is told by "Frankie" that the biology teacher is supposed to have a relationship with her, he goes nuts and hits the teacher, after which he is threatened with expulsion from school. Rinker's voice in the school conference is decisive for or against being expelled. Rinker takes the chance and challenges Luka to a boxing match, if she stays on her feet for ten minutes, he promises to vote against Johannes' reprimand.

Mouse finally acts as a boxing coach and Luka can win the fight. However, Luka falls in love with her roommate Chico, who also has feelings for her, but is initially overwhelmed by the situation because he thinks he is gay. Peggy, Rinker's friend, feels rejected and humiliated by "Frankie" and therefore starts the rumor that "Frankie" showed her his penis. Despite Luka's win in the boxing match, Rinker votes for Jo to be kicked out and beats Luka and a friend in the washroom. They also undress her and discover that "Frankie" is a girl. When the headmistress found out about this, she expelled Luka from the school and Toby, Maus and Chico were also threatened with expulsion after they were not cooperative.

Toby finds Luka on her "reflection" bridge and after Toby has revealed to Luka that he has known she is a girl since the second day together, the two jump down into the river together. Toby eventually organizes a graduation party for Luka. Luka, now apparently styled as a girl, gives a farewell speech in front of the astonished students. She apologizes to everyone she has hurt and how much she cares about her friends. She does not allow herself to be forbidden or banished by the headmistress, which earns her great respect from the students. Ultimately, she and Chico get together and spend a romantic night in the open air. The film leaves open whether this will turn into a lasting relationship.
