Vincent Kiefer
Vinzenz Georg Kiefer (born January 29, 1979 in Weilburg ) is a German actor .
Life
Kiefer's father is a former Catholic pastor and his mother is a gospel singer. His sister is the actress Dorkas Kiefer . He grew up in Braunfels and attended grammar school in Weilburg an der Lahn. Kiefer lives in Berlin-Charlottenburg .
Kiefer began his television career in 1997 without acting training in the RTL series Unter uns . He later took acting lessons from Manfred Schwabe , Ursula Michaelis, Christoph Hilger , Frank Müller-Sendino, Michael Margotta and Björn Johnson. In 2002 he completed a workshop at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York.
For his roles in the films In the Name of the Lord and Tatort: Im Visier , Kiefer was awarded the Günter Strack Television Prize in 2004 as the best young actor. He became known to a broad German film and television audience in 2008 through leading roles in the two-part television series Der Seewolf and Uli Edels Der Baader Meinhof Complex . In Doris Dörrie's film Glück from 2012, he played a leading role alongside Alba Rohrwacher . In the summer of 2013, Kiefer took to the stage in a new production of Hebbel's Nibelungs - born to die at the Nibelungen Festival in Worms in a leading role as Siegfried, directed by Dieter Wedel .
In the RTL action series Alarm für Cobra 11 , Vinzenz Kiefer embodied the role of Chief Inspector Alex Brandt for the first time in the episode Revolution (episode 261, German first broadcast on March 27, 2014) and thus replaced his predecessor Tom Beck (in his role of Chief Inspector Ben Hunter). With the episode Windspiel (episode 291, German premiere on November 5, 2015), the role of Alex Brandt surprisingly dropped out of the series. The broadcaster justified this with a change of direction of the format, the narrative arc of the serious role of Alex Brandt was exhausted and there was a desire on the part of the audience for more humor. Kiefer was in front of the camera for the series from July 2013 to July 2015. He has been married to actress Masha Tokareva since September 2016 .
