Jana Vjatscheslavowna Kirpichenko ( Russian Яна Вячеславовна Кирпиченко ; at the FIS according to an English transcription Yana Kirpichenko ; born January 22, 1996 ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Kirpitschenko started in Vershina Tjoi for the first time in the Eastern Europe Cup in November 2012 and finished 74th in the 5 km freestyle and 67th and 62nd in the sprint. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2015 in Almaty , she won the silver medal with the relay. In the individual races, she achieved 14th place in the sprint and fourth place in the skiathlon . The following year she won the bronze medal with the relay at the Junior World Championships in Râşnov . In addition, she came in 24th place in the sprint, 16th place over 10 km freestyle and eighth place over 5 km classic. At the U23 World Ski Championships in 2017 in Soldier Hollow , she won bronze in the skiathlon and took 19th place in the sprint and sixth place over 10 km freestyle. In February 2017, she was in Syktyvkar Russian U23 champion skiathlon. After three first places in FIS races in Tyumen at the beginning of the 2017/18 season, she made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup at the Tour de Ski 2017/18 in Lenzerheide , which she finished in 71st place in the sprint. In Val di Fiemme , she scored her first World Cup points in the fifth stage of the tour with 29th place in the 10 km mass start race. She finished the tour in 30th place. At the U23 World Ski Championships in Goms in January 2018 , she won the bronze medal in the skiathlon and the gold medal over 10 km classic. She also achieved fifth place in the sprint and fourth place in the skiathlon. The following month she was in Syktywkar Russian U23 champion over 10 km freestyle.

In the 2018/19 season, Kirpitschenko took third place at the Eastern Europe Cup in Krasnogorsk over 15 km classic and at the Scandinavian Cup in Vuokatti over 10 km classic. At the U23 World Ski Championships in Lahti in 2019 , she finished 17th in the sprint, eighth place over 10 km freestyle and fourth place in the 15 km mass start race. In March 2019, at the Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk , she won the classic 5 km, in the pursuit and in the 15 km mass start race, the bronze medal and with the relay the gold medal. After 33rd place in the Ruka Triple at the beginning of the 2019/0 season, she finished 21st in the Tour de Ski 2019/20 and 37th in the ski tour, thus achieving 44th place in the overall World Cup.
