Janice Dickinson
Janice Doreen Dickinson (born February 15, 1955 in Brooklyn , New York City , New York ) is an American former model , actress , photographer and writer . She runs her own modeling agency .
Life and family
Dickinson was born in Brooklyn, New York. She grew up in Hollywood, Florida . Her father was, according to Dickinsons, pedophile and violent, sexually abusing her sister and beating Janice on a daily basis, and her mother used drugs . She was married three times, to Ron Levy, Alan B. Gersten and Simon Fields, from whose marriage the son Nathan Fields emerged. She has a daughter with Michael Birnbaum, Savannah Dickinson. In 2016 she married the psychiatrist Robert Gerner.
In 2016 she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Career
When she was seventeen she started modeling. Her exotic look made her famous, and her success brought her to Paris. In 1978 she returned to New York. In the 80s she became a top model , she achieved recognition value . She has appeared on the covers of magazines such as Harper's Bazaar , Vogue and Playboy and has worked with famous figures in the fashion world, including Giorgio Armani , Gianni Versace and Calvin Klein . She appeared on the cover of Vogue a total of 37 times. She was a jury member for the first four seasons of America's Next Top Model . She started a modeling agency, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency , and turned it into a reality show . In 2005 she appeared regularly in the fifth season of The Surreal Life and was also seen in Abbey and Janice: Beauty and The Best in 2007 . November 2007 she was one of the celebrities of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! , the UK version of I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! . She came in second. In July 2009, she took part in the 2nd season of the American version of I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here . She had guest appearances on the Charmed series and CNN's Glenn Beck Show . Janice played a supporting role in Darren Hayes' video On the Verge of Something Wonderful . Dickinson continued to participate in the fourth season of the reality TV show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew participated and was escorted during a drug rehab. In August / September 2015 she took part in the 16th season of Celebrity Big Brother in England .
