Career
Janne Kujala began his career with Nikkarit Riihimäki in the Finnish Junior League. In 1999 he moved to HPK Hämeenlinna to play for its junior team. During the 2000/01 season he completed eight games in the Finnish second division, the Mestis , for Ahmat Hyvinkää .
A year later he moved to the St. Louis Sting in the US Junior League North American Hockey League and scored 42 scorer points in 51 games. He then returned to Europe and signed a contract with SC Mittelrhein-Neuwied , for which he was on the ice for a total of four years. Kujala had his most successful time as a professional ice hockey player in Neuwied. So he completed 169 games and scored 193 points. This made him one of the strikers with the highest points within his team. For the 2006/07 season , the management of the Ratinger Ice Aliens became aware of the left-handed shooter and then transferred him to Ratingen. In Ratingen, Kujala met his Finnish compatriot Antti-Jussi Miettinen , with whom he was active in a series of storms. After the Ratinger team's license for the league was revoked, Kujala moved to the Starbulls Rosenheim , where he played the season to the end.
In the summer of 2007 he moved to the league competitor and promoted EHF Passau Black Hawks . After 29 games for the Passau Black Hawks it was announced on December 28, 2007 that Kujala will storm Rosenheim again for the Starbulls from January 1, 2008. His contract with the Starbulls was ultimately not renewed. For the 2008/09 season he moved to the league competitor ESC Halle 04 in the group north of the major league, before he signed in 2009 with the then regional league team EV Duisburg , with whom he rose to the major league in 2010.
For the 2011/12 season he moved to the Red Devils Bad Nauheim with whom he became champions in the league in 2013.
In August 2013 his move to the Allgäu for ERC Sonthofen became known. According to the association's website, he would like to settle in the Allgäu for the next few years and begin training. In addition, he will look after a youth team at ERC Sonthofen. With the ERC he became champion of the ice hockey Bayernliga in 2013/2014 and made it to the Oberliga Süd.
At the beginning of 2016 he was committed through fan donations and funding from a sponsor of the EHC Neuwied. Since then he has played for EHC Neuwied , with whom he made it to the play-offs of the Oberliga-Nord .
