Janos Radoki (born March 7, 1972 in Mór ) is a former German - Hungarian soccer player and current soccer coach . The defender played for SpVgg Greuther Fürth , SSV Ulm 1846 and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen between 1997 and 2003 a total of 127 games in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. Most recently he was the coach of SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

career

Born in Hungary, Radoki and his parents fled to Biberbach on a tourist visa . He started playing football at SC Biberbach when he was 6 years old . He came to TSV Vestenbergsgreuth via TSV Schwaben Augsburg and FC Augsburg . When the football department of SpVgg Fürth joined, he signed a contract with the club now trading as SpVgg Greuther Fürth. With the club he made it to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1997 .

After two years in the second division, in which he knew how to convince, he moved to SSV Ulm 1846 , which surprisingly made the march from the regional league to the Bundesliga . Radoki was used 25 times in the German upper house. He was one of the four Ulm players who were expelled from the field in the 2-1 away defeat at Hansa Rostock and thus set a Bundesliga record. After relegation he stayed with the Sparrows and was a regular player in 33 games.

However, when the fall into amateur football was certain, Radoki hired the league competitor Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . On the first day of the 2001/02 season he played against his old employer Greuther Fürth; after a collision with his friend, former teammate Günther Reichold , he suffered a complicated fracture of his tibia and fibula and had to sit out the rest of the season. At the beginning of the following season he was only a supplementary player, but was able to play in the team during the season. On the 31st day of the game against MSV Duisburg , he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture .

Radoki was therefore unable to make a game for his employer due to injury in the first half of the 2003/04 season. During the winter break, FCA trainer Armin Veh brought the unlucky fellow back to his home club in Augsburg. There he was only used in the second team.

During the winter break of the 2004/05 season he moved to DJK Augsburg-Lechhausen as a player -coach . He stayed there until October 1, 2006, before moving to TSV 1896 Rain in the Bavarian State League in the same position . About the relegation he rose with the TSV 1896 Rain in June 2008 in the Bavarian League. In July 2008 he took on a job as a coach of the B-Juniors of FC Augsburg and then resigned as a coach in Rain (August 12, 2008).

On May 25, 2012 Radoki was introduced as the new athletic trainer for the third division club 1. FC Heidenheim . There he succeeded Fritz Hartl. During the 2013 winter break, as part of the restructuring in the youth division of SpVgg Greuther Fürth, on January 17, 2013, Mario Himsl, who switched to the sporting management of the youth performance center, inherited as the trainer of the Fürth A-youth. After the professional team of SpVgg Greuther Fürth failed to achieve sporting success in the 2nd Bundesliga, coach Stefan Ruthenbeck was dismissed on November 21, 2016. He was succeeded by Radoki. The SpVgg separated from him on August 28, 2017.

Worth mentioning

Radoki has been married since 1998 and has two sons. He completed vocational training as a lathe operator and as a wholesaler .
