The Japanese Handball Championship ( 日本ハンドボールリーグ Nihon Handball Rīgu ) is the highest division in the Japanese men - and women - Handball and the Japanese Handball Federation organized.
The first season was played out in 1976. In the 2018/19 season, nine teams will take part in both the men's and women's handball championships, most of which were founded by companies.
