society
Jason Naismith was born in Paisley about 10 kilometers west of Glasgow. He began his career in his hometown at FC St. Mirren . As part of the club's U19 team, he made his professional debut on February 25, 2012, after being substituted on for Marc McAusland in the Scottish Premier League game against FC Aberdeen . After another league assignment for the Saints in March against Hibernian Edinburgh , the young Naismith was awarded to the Scottish second division club Greenock Morton for half a year from July 2012 . From February he played on loan at Morton's league rivals, FC Cowdenbeath .
Upon his return to Paisley, Naismith became a regular with the Saints. In the 2014/15 season he was relegated to the second division with his home club. With 38 league games, he was the only player in the club's squad to complete all season games. After two years in the 2nd division in which he was less used due to injury, he moved to Ross County in January 2017 . He stayed with the club from the Highlands until July 2018 before moving on to Peterborough United in England . In his first season he came to 43 league games and one goal. With position seven and one point behind, the play-offs for promotion to the second division were missed.
In September 2019, the full-back was awarded to the Scottish first division club Hibernian Edinburgh. After a total of 14 competitive games, he dropped out from January 2020 due to a knee injury that he sustained in the 4th round of the Scottish Cup against Dundee United .
