The Jazz Police is since 2000 Berlin Jazz Trio , which nationwide in police uniforms occurs. They derive their names from "overly critical jazzers who complain about every wrong chord". As a supposed marching band, they play a mixture of swing , New Orleans jazz , Dixieland and comedy . The trio consists of Peter Dams (vocals and banjo ), Mathias “Masiu” Grabisch ( sousaphone and trombone ) and Jürgen “Jay” Hahn ( trumpet and vocals).
