Jean-Philippe Caillet (born June 24, 1977 in Boulay-Moselle ) is a former French football player.
Career
Caillet in France
Jean-Philippe Caillet played for Metz when he was young . In 1997 he was moved from the second team to the professional team - played in Ligue 1 at the time . There he was denied an assignment. For this reason, he went to the then second division SM Caen in 1998 . He made his debut for the Normans on August 22, 1998, when he was used on the third match day, against the OSC Lille . In the period that followed, Caillet established a regular place in Caen. In the following years he was always a regular player. In four years Caillet came to 136 point game inserts, in which he came on three hits. In 2002 Caillet moved to league rivals Clermont Foot Auvergne . There he was also a regular player. In 2004 Caillet returned to his hometown club FC Metz, which was also playing in Ligue 1 at the time. He made his Ligue 1 debut on August 7, 2004, when he was in the starting eleven on matchday one against FC Nantes . In the period that followed, Caillet established itself as a member of the Metz team. In the course of the season he came here to 23 missions.
Bulgaria, Belgium and China
Jean-Philippe Caillet moved abroad for the 2005/06 season and hired the Bulgarian first division club Litex Lovetsch . With Lovetsch he also played in the UEFA Cup . He made his European debut on November 3, 2005, when he was in the starting eleven in the group game of the UEFA Cup against Swiss first division club Grasshoppers Zurich . The group stage was survived. In the sixteenth finals they failed to Racing Strasbourg . In 2006 Caillet moved to the Belgian first division club KRC Genk . He stayed there for almost three years before he left Europe in February 2009 and moved to Asia to join the Chinese club Tianjin Teda .
Career finale in Luxembourg
In 2010 Caillet came back to Europe and hired the Luxembourg first division club F91 Dudelange . He made his debut for the Luxembourg big club in qualifying for the Europa League , when he was in the starting eleven in the first leg of the first qualifying round against the Danish first division side Randers FC . Dudelange was eliminated against Randers, with Caillet scoring a goal in the second leg, where Dudelange was able to record a remarkable success with a surprising 2-1 win. In the first year in Dudelange, Caillet won the championship with F91. In the following season, they played in qualifying for the Champions League . In the first qualifying round Dudelange was able to eliminate the Andorran representatives FC Santa Coloma (Caillet had scored a goal in the first leg), while they were eliminated in the second qualifying round against the Slovenian champions NK Maribor . Meanwhile, the new championship could be celebrated at the end of the season. A few weeks later the championship too. As Luxembourg champions, Dudelange took part again in the qualification for the Champions League in the following season . While the San Marinese representative SP Tre Penne was eliminated in the first qualifying round , Dudelange had a big surprise in the second qualifying round when the Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg were eliminated. Caillet has been the team manager of FC Differdange 03 since 2015 .
