Jean-Pierre Mas

Jean-Pierre Mas (born October 22, 1948 in Ria-Sirach , Pyrénées-Orientales , France ) is a French jazz pianist and composer of film scores .

Live and act

Mas received his first piano lessons at the age of five in Prades . He later received musical instruction from Pablo Casals there . At the age of ten he played in a dance orchestra on weekends and during the holidays. In 1968 he moved to Paris , where he first played bebop . In the mid-1970s he played with Cesarius Alvim Rue de Lourmel and other albums as a duo, partly supplemented by Daniel Humair ; In 1981 they made their last album together with brass. Since the 1980s he has concentrated on his work as a film composer, which he had started in 1973.
