Jean-Luc Tschabold (born December 25, 1925 , † April 29, 2012 in Epalinges , Canton of Vaud , Switzerland ) was a Swiss gymnast . At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 he won the silver medal in the team all-around competition in apparatus gymnastics together with Josef Stalder , Hans Eugster , Hans Schwarzentruber , Jack Günthard , Melchior Thalmann , Ernst Gebendinger and Ernst Fivian . In the individual disciplines he came 8th. He had already won a gold medal with the team at the World Gymnastics Championships in Basel in 1950 and in Rome in 1954 he won bronze again. He later worked as a trainer and taught in Lausanne -Bourgeoise. He also worked as a sports commentator for Swiss television .
