Jeffery Barnard "Jeff" Demps (born January 8, 1990 in Winter Garden , Florida ) is an American sprinter and American football player .

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London he was used in the run-up to the 4 x 100 meter relay . In the final, the US relay ran without him in second place, but was disqualified by Tyson Gay in 2015 for a doping offense .

Starting for the University of Florida , he became NCAA 100 m champion in 2010 and NCAA indoor 60 m champion in 2010, 2011 and 2012 .

From 2012 to 2015 he played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL), first for the New England Patriots , then for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Indianapolis Colts .
