Jeju Air ( Korean 제주 항공 ) is a South Korean low-cost airline based in Jeju-si and based at Jeju Airport .

history

Jeju Air was founded in 2005 by the government of Jejudo Island and the consumer goods company Aekyung. In 2016, Jeju Air was a driving force behind the creation of the first low-cost airline, Value Alliance . The island government holds 7.8 percent and the group 59.9 percent of the company in autumn 2018.

Destinations

Jeju Air offers domestic flights from Jeju, as well as international routes to China , Hong Kong , Japan , Russia , Guam , Laos , Macau , Malaysia , Mongolia , the Northern Mariana Islands , the Philippines , Thailand and Vietnam .
