Jelena Gatea (born June 21, 1995 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian soccer player .

Career

Gatea started playing soccer with boys in the youth department of SV Wüstenrot Salzburg and continued it in 2007 at Lieferinger SV . In the 2010/11 season she was used twice in the Bundesliga for the USK Hof . She made her debut on August 8, 2010 (1st matchday) in a 2-2 draw in the away game against FC Stattegg . In the following season she played 16 Bundesliga games for SG FC Bergheim / USK Hof . On August 15, 2011 (2nd matchday), she scored her first goal in the senior division in the 2: 3 defeat in the home game against FC Wacker Innsbruck with the 1: 1 goal in the 20th minute. In the 2012/13 season she played 15 Bundesliga games and scored two goals; but at the end of the season the club rose from bottom of the table in the 2nd division middle / west . Gatea, on the other hand, moved to Germany for Bayern Munich , for whose second team she played three second division games in the 2013/14 season . She made her debut on November 24, 2013 (9th matchday) in the 0-2 defeat in the away game against SC Sand .

After just one season, she returned for the season 2014/15 to Austria syndicate FC Bergheim / USK Hof back and twice won the championship in the 2nd League Central / West, but failed in its first season in the relegation to promotion to the Bundesliga in of the Carinthians - Soccer Women team due to the away goals rule . In the second year she prevailed with the team, which was now called FC Bergheim Damen , in the relegation to promotion to the Bundesliga against ASK Erlaa with 4: 3 after two legs and rose to the highest in the 2016/17 season Division in Austrian women's football.
