Jennifer Chambers Lynch (born April 7, 1968 in Philadelphia ) is an American director and screenwriter .

Life and accomplishments

David Lynch's daughter appeared in the 1977 horror film Eraserhead as a child directed by her father . She helped produce the 1986 thriller, Blue Velvet, starring Isabella Rossellini , Kyle MacLachlan , Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern , which was also directed by David Lynch. In 1990 she wrote the novel The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer as a companion book to David Lynch's television series Twin Peaks . For the thriller Boxing Helena (1993) she took over the direction and wrote the script. As the director of this film, she was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize of the Sundance Film Festival in 1993 and received the negative award of the Golden Raspberry in 1994 . Her thriller Under Control , in which she again worked as a director and screenwriter, premiered on February 8, 2008 on the European Film Market . Penny Vozniak shot the documentary Despite the Gods in 2012 under the motto “Jennifer Lynch's Bollywood Odyssey” and illuminated the works of Lynch. In 2012, Jennifer Lynch directed the serial killer thriller Chained with Julia Ormond and Vincent D'Onofrio in the leading roles.
