Jens Nolte
Jens Nolte (born September 11, 1974 in Herdecke ) is a German cameraman and photographer .
education
Nolte studied design in the camera department under Adolf Winkelmann at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences , where he graduated with a diploma. At the same time, he worked on films such as Barefoot , Agnes and His Brothers and Dear Wendy .
As a cameraman he worked for Westdeutscher Rundfunk for the formats west.art , Monitor , Quarks & Co , knowledge makes Ah! , Rockpalast and Die Anrheiner . His work for short films has been represented at national and international festivals. This includes the film Absolution , which was shown at the 2008 Cannes International Film Festival .
In 2009, he set out with Björn Leonhard independently and founded the production company showcase concept & content , which in the support program AV incubation center of the city of Cologne and the Film Foundation NRW was taken.
In 2010 he took part in the master class "People on a Sunday" between UCLA and the ifs international film school in Cologne as a cameraman. This resulted in the short film Spielzeit, which premiered at the Sundance Festival in 2012.
In 2011 he started his photo project "wake up!" Which artistically documents heavy metal fans at international festivals and especially at Wacken Open Air . A photo book with the same title was published by Kerber Verlag in 2016 .
