Midsummer is a short film made in 2006 by director Christopher Becker . The graduation film at the international film school in Cologne was co-produced by the FH Dortmund .
action
The three friends Emma, Martin and Viktor go on vacation together on a yacht on the high seas. A power struggle develops between the two boys, with Emma at the center. She initially enjoys this attention. But when the skipper Viktor disappears during one night and Martin doesn't want to speak out, the horror begins for Emma. In pairs and full of suspicion, they float in the open sea without any prospect of help. When another boat appears on the horizon, desperate and guilty Martin traps Emma below deck and lets the last resort pass them by. Finally, Martin leaves the yacht and exposes his fate to the forces of nature in the water.

The film was shot on a yacht on the IJsselmeer in the Netherlands.
