After 13 years at BFC Preussen in Berlin-Lankwitz , Vortmann switched to the then second division team Füchse Berlin in 2005 . On March 30, 2015, GWD Minden announced that Vortmann will move to HSV Hamburg . After filing for bankruptcy from Hamburg, he moved to SC DHfK Leipzig in January 2016. There he extended his contract to 2020 at the end of the year. Vormann played 118 games for the Leipzig team in which he threw 7 goals and had an average rate of around 28.8%. He then moved to the Wilhelmshaven HV .
